What is Tarot Diary?
Tarot Diary is a personal journaling tool for recording and reflecting on the tarot cards you pull. The meanings and prompts provided by Tarot Diary are for reflection and personal exploration, not advice or professional guidance.
What happens to my data?
You own your data.
By default, your diary stays in your browser on your device. Tarot Diary does not receive or store a copy of it on its servers.
If you choose to connect Google Sheets, your browser sends your diary directly to Google Sheets. Your synchronized copy remains in your Google Drive under your Google account.
What happens when I connect Google Sheets?
When you choose Google Sheets synchronization, Tarot Diary asks Google for permission to work with the files it creates. It does not request access to your other Google Drive files.
Your Google Sheet is subject to Google's terms and privacy policies.
Tarot Diary does not store your diary, personal profile, or other personal information in a server-side database. Tarot Diary temporarily handles the OAuth information needed to establish or refresh the Google connection, but does not persist your diary or Google tokens.
Your Google refresh token is stored in a secure, HttpOnly browser cookie. A short-lived Google access token is kept in your browser session while you use the connection.
Does Tarot Diary track me?
No.
Tarot Diary does not use advertising trackers, behavioral or cross-site tracking, Google Analytics, a separate analytics service, or an error-monitoring service.
What happens when I disconnect Google Sheets?
Disconnecting Google Sheets removes Tarot Diary's Google refresh-token cookie from your browser.
It does not delete the Google Sheet or its contents. If you want to delete that copy of your diary, you can delete the sheet from your Google Drive.
Is Tarot Diary secure?
Tarot Diary takes reasonable measures to protect the application and its connections to Google.
However, no software or online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting access to your device, browser, Google account, and exported diary files.
Are there any restrictions on using Tarot Diary?
Tarot Diary is provided for personal use. You agree not to use it to violate applicable laws or interfere with the application or its infrastructure.
Can Tarot Diary change or disappear?
Yes. Tarot Diary may be changed, discontinued, or become unavailable at any time.
Because your diary belongs to you and is stored under your control, you should use the export features or Google Sheets synchronization to keep your own backup if the data is important to you.
What happens if something goes wrong?
Tarot Diary is provided as-is, without guarantees that it will always be available, error-free, or suitable for every purpose.
To the extent permitted by law, the creators of Tarot Diary are not responsible for loss of data, loss of access, or other damages resulting from use of the application.
Can these terms and this privacy information change?
Yes. This page may be updated when Tarot Diary changes; the Last updated date at the top indicates when the current version took effect.
